No. 110 dated the 24th June, 1937, which read as follows:-
2 "Your telegram No. 105 levy on salaries. Resolution
adopted unanimously by Legislative Council on
23rd June. "

The Resolution adopted was in the following
"Resolved pursuant to sections 2 (3) and 3 (3)
of the Hong Kong Government Service (Levy on
Salaries) Ordinance, 1937, that the percentage deductions specified in sections 2 (2) and 3 (2)
of the said Ordinance be abandoned in respect
of the months of July to December, inclusive, 1937."
I attach a copy of the speech made by the
Colonial Treasurer in introducing the resolution.
